The Carus Schoolhouse was built in 1925 and served the community for over 50 years before it was replaced by a larger elementary school and used as an administrative building. When the school district needed to expand their parking area, they made plans to demolish the building unless community members could find a way to relocate it. A retired schoolteacher who had taught in the schoolhouse pulled together a team and worked tirelessly to find a new site, and Wolfe relocated the schoolhouse just under a mile to a nearby farm. The team plans to renovate the schoolhouse for use as a community building.
