After Hurricane Sandy, this homeowner in Norwalk, CT decided to get his house up where his chances of being flooded are much less. Doing this also drastically lowered his flood insurance premium. In April 2013, we raised the house, garage & brick fireplaces up 5′ and held it there while the foundation was built up to it and grouted in to the sill plate and fireplaces.
