Wolfe House & Building Movers of Indiana relocated the historic Little House in Plainfield, Indiana, as part of a local initiative to save it from development-driven demolition. Built in the later 1800s, the 2½-story, Queen-Anne-style house features an elegantly wrapped porch, turret, and original windows and hardwood floors. Wolfe carefully lifted and transported the house, using Buckingham hydraulic dollies to drive the house 500′ to the new location. The successful preservation and relocation of this historic building saved a piece of Plainfield’s heritage and underscored the community’s commitment to honoring its past while adapting to modern growth.
