Wolfe House Movers lifted a 250-year-old, 1,098-ton building in Amsterdam, New York, to raise it above the 100-year flood zone. The 2-story stone house was constructed for British superintendent Guy Johnson along the Mohawk River in 1774. The house sustained damage and flooding during Hurricane Irene,  and plans to restore it as a community education center included raising it to prevent future flooding. Wolfe used the proprietary Buckingham SmartJack™ System to lift the building, linking four unified jacking machines and 49 jacks to smoothly raise it over 3′.
