“Parade of homes” took on a new meaning in Hartford’s Frog Hollow neighborhood when Wolfe House Movers, LLC, moved four houses through its streets in a single day. The historic homes were relocated as part of a development initiative to create more parking space for a local medical center. After lifting the homes, Wolfe installed steel beams and Buckingham dollies under them in preparation for the move. One of the houses was cut into two sections for the relocation, making a parade of five buildings which Wolfe drove to three separate locations several blocks from the houses’ original sites. Wolfe executed the complex operation safely and on schedule, successfully completing the houses’ relocation. Watch news videos of the move here:
