Over the 250 years since it was built, this stone farmhouse’s setting has shifted from wooded hills to farmland to the heavy traffic of a four-lane highway and the steady construction of the warehouse corridor. When the owners sold the land for development, they opted to keep the farmhouse and relocate it to a nearby parcel about ½ mile up the road from the original location. After the contractor removed the front porch and two frame additions, Wolfe moved the original 33’x44′ stone structure with its two fireplaces.
