Tobias Smyth Cabin Relocation

Emory & Henry College needed to make room for new construction on campus. Wolfe was contracted to move the Tobias Smyth Cabin — a small, historic log cabin — 200′ on campus.

The cabin relocation project was successfully and safely completed, with the help of the Buckingham Power Dollies, in July 2013. The addition located in the rear of the cabin, the stone porch post, and the large stone fireplace were also moved with the cabin without incident.
