Inner city Philadelphia Gulf station is moved on wheels to new location

A historic Gulf gas station in Central City Philadelphia was relocated last night by Wolfe House Movers of Berks County, Pennsylvania. The 1½-mile move route ran northwest past the Met to the building’s new location near the Sedgeley Porter H0use, where it will be renovated for use by the Bicycle Coalition Youth Cycling Program. Wolfe moved the building at night to minimize traffic interference and completed the move in less than three hours, ahead of schedule.
