Frank Lloyd Wright’s Booth Cottage Moves To Its New Home

Wolfe House and Building Movers has completed another successful relocation of a historic cottage designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Booth Cottage is located in Glencoe, IL, and was designed by Wright in 1913 as a temporary residence for Sherman and Elizabeth Booth during the construction of their larger home (which was also designed by Wright). Recently, the property on which the one-story, 1800-square-foot cottage stood was put on the market, and it appeared that the building might be demolished. Glencoe Historical Society partnered with Glencoe Park District and Village of Glencoe to preserve the house by moving it several blocks to its new location on Franklin Street.
